Alcohol

Since Maledive people are strictly religious, there are some specific information:

• on local islands you will not find any alcoholic beverages – only resort islands provide beer, wine and such
• especially on local islands you may not take a walk in sole bathing shorts or in a bikini – please just wrap a towel or a linen to cover at least your bottom, and breasts…guys put on a shirt or tank top as well ;-)
  If you don´t respect that rule, you will catch some unfavorable views or worse, they will ask you to put on clothes. That is really embarassing – believe me.
