Taxis in Bangkok

Yea right, there’s a cheaper way such as public transportation, BUT taxi are the most convenient and comfortable way of getting around in Bangkok on an inexpensive level and it’s more flexible, too. Lots of people write creepy stories about Taxi driving in Thailand, such as getting ripped off and all that. Well, we didn’t experienced such a thing, since the laws tightened a lot. Besides that, when getting into a taxi just ask for the taximeter to make sure everything’s as it should be.

How is the pricing?

Once you enter the taxi about 35 Baht will be charged. Each km you are driving you will have to pay 7-8 Baht. We paid 72 Baht for 5,2 km. That’s next to nothing.

Es gibt zwar noch guenstigere Alternativen als Fortbewegung, aber Taxi fahren ist echt guenstig und vor allem so praktisch, wenn es wirklich heiss ist. Es kursieren viele Posts und Berichte darueber, dass man abgezockt wird und die Taxifahrer einen verarschen wollen. Nun gut, wir haben keines dieser Szenarien erlebt und wenn man beim Einsteigen nach dem Taximeter fragt, ist man immer auf der sicheren Seite.

Wie wird das Taxifahren berechnet?

Wenn man in Bangkok ins Taxi einsteigt, werden 35 Baht angerechnet (1Euro) und pro km kostet die Fahrt 7-8 Baht. Unsere Fahrt vom Pantip Plaza ins Chillax Resort (600 m von dr Kaosan Road) kostete 72 Baht (5,2km). Anhaltspunkte:

von der Kaosan zum DMK Airport sind es ca. 400-450 Baht, je nachdem, ob man express ways nutzt oder nicht
haltet euch stets and die gelben und pinken Taxis mit TAXIMETER Signal! Aber kein Stress, die sind echt ueberall zu finden
